James Michael Webb

James Webb is a graduate of The University of Florida. He holds an associate’s degree in sociology, a bachelor’s degree in sociology, with a minor in education, and received his law degree from the Fredrick G. Levin College of Law at the University of Florida. He is also near completing his master’s degree in communication at the University of South Florida. Prior to attending college, James served a tour in the United States Marine Corp during Desert Storm. His last duty station was in Okinawa Japan where he lived for nearly two years. During that time he discovered recreational scuba diving and developed a profound love for the ocean.

Today, James draws inspiration from nature and the ocean when creating his art. James claims that the love and support of his friends and family has led him to accomplish things beyond his wildest dreams. Long time friend and mentor, Anne Marie Kearney, has encouraged, and inspired, James to pursue working with mosaics. James and Anne have formed a partnership in which they believe, with the grace of God, that they can accomplish anything. The team is excited about the future and the prospect of creating beautiful, one of a kind, works of art that they can share with the world.

JapaStudios is a collection of Artists creating spiritual art through meditation and prayer to inspire the viewer. Japa is a spiritual discipline involving the meditative repetition of a mantra or name of God. It is the soul of the artistic expressions created and shared through JapaStudios. The artists’ works comes from within their personal spiritual path explorations and conversations with God or their spiritual connective energy. The pieces are then shared to inspire a connection between this spiritual interaction and the viewer of the art. JapaStudios was created to inspire prayer, meditation and energetic collectiveness in everyday life through fine art.

The studios Mosaic Fine Artworks are created by Anne Marie Kearney and James Michael Webb. Every piece of glass is placed while participating in a spiritual practice such as prayer or meditative thought. Along with every prayer the pieces begin to unfold.

It is said that the voice of God is often heard within an image. Through Artistic expression, "Whispers of the Holy Spirit can be known and felt. Meditating with art strives to recognize these whispers in an atmosphere of artistic beauty and quiet that will foster a deeper 'soul' conversation with the God who is beyond the spoken word.” We should strive to "find a capacity to move through and beyond to ‘contact’ God in a direct, personal way— creating a time of communion in which you can be inspired, healed, reconciled, challenged, and nourished.

JapaStudios also supports many religious and spiritual humanitarian charities.

Faith • Inspiration • Grace

"I always begin my prayer in silence, for it is in the silence of the heart that God speaks." Her "simple path" states: "The fruit of silence is PRAYER. The fruit of prayer is FAITH. The fruit of faith is LOVE. The fruit of love is SERVICE. The fruit of service is PEACE."
